The Board of Assessment Review will meet on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 between 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 and 8:00. This is an opportunity for property owner's dissatisfied with their assessment to appeal to the Board of Assessment Review.
To file an appeal, the NYS form RP-524 must be completed and filed with the assessor's office. Once a completed form is submitted, an appointment will be scheduled. Forms are available in the assessor's office and also available online by clicking here. The board will make a determination based on the information on the complaint form and any supporting documentation submitted.
You may also request a non-hearing. The RP-524 must be submitted along with supporting documentation by May 23, 2017. Again, please make sure the complaint form is completely filled out and any supporting documentation attached.
All Board of Assessment Review Determination Notices will be mailed by the end of June. No determination will be made at the hearing.
